Auction Market Theory (AMT)

Definition: The foundational framework describing how financial markets facilitate trade between buyers and sellers around perceived fair value.

Comprehensive Institutional Breakdown

Markets exist solely to discover price equilibrium. When buyers and sellers agree on value, the market balances (consolidates). When institutional participants reject a price level, rapid imbalance (trending auction) occurs until a new balance zone is established.
